  • Installs/Upgrades/Clones: Consultant will provide services to install and configure new databases, upgrade existing databases and clone into a new database for testing purposes. 

  • Application Architecture involving Database models

  • Database Monitoring: Daily monitoring on a set of databases.  Weekly, automated summarized / detailed reports on monitoring activities

  • Database Problem Resolution Activities: Pro-actively identify / re-actively address any database / application related issues and work with appropriate SMEs for appropriate resolution

  • Database Maintenance & Tuning:  Daily, Weekly, monthly remote tuning services to ensure optimal performance based on application criticality

  • Change Management: Provide all change management  activities at the database /schema level

  • Backup/Recovery and Disaster Recovery: Develop, test and implement processes and procedures to insure databases are fully backed up and test restore abilities.  In addition, on a quarterly basis, perform an external test of DR procedures and work with clients to resolve any issues with such disaster recovery test

  • High Availability configuration: Consultants will assist clients in the setup of High Availability configurations (RAC/ODA and Data Guard are examples)

  • Customer Management: Provide monthly activity reports, and Root Cause Corrective Action reports.  In addition, consultant / advisory team member shall meet frequently to discuss when problems occur and how to mitigate future issues

  • SQL Education: Database awareness on how to write SQL constructs incorporating best practices for writing and executing optimally performing SQL statements
